Earth Day 2010
It's easy to be an Environmental Hero! Follow these eco-friendly tips every day at home and encourage your friends and family to do so also.
- Turn off all lights when leaving a room
- Turn off your water faucet when brushing your teeth
- Unplug your computer, TV or ipod when you are not using them
- Walk or ride a bike to a friend's house instead of having Mom or Dad drive you
- Open the blinds or curtains on sunny days to let natural light in your home
- Take shorter showers
Now that you have the knowledge to Go Green, here are some other fun Earth Day projects and Ideas to participate in.
- Start to plant a food garden in your backyard and practice new recipes with the fresh produce you grow
- Build a bird house or bird feeder
- Decorate your own canvas reusable bag to help reduce the use of plastic bags when shopping
- Decorate your own recycling can
- Create your own miniature Water Cycle and observe how water is recycled
