After seeing news on CNN about disaster in Hiati, Jakob decided he needed to do something to help. Jakob's dad told Team Kids that all he spoke about at dinner, for a week, was his determination to help the people in Haiti. He considered selling his toys and the end of his street in Arlington, but worried there wouldn't be enough people to buy them.
Jakob knew what he loved to do more than anything was to dance, so he decided he would "Dance for Haiti!" He arranged for his parents to bring him to M Street, near Georgetown Mall, in Washington DC. Jakob invited his 3 year old sister Maya to join him, packed up his iPod, speakers, Michael Jackson playlist and set up on a busy corner. He inspired everyone who witnessed his pure desire to help. After dancing his heart out for 45 minutes, Jakob counted almost $75 in his cotton candy bucket, with 100% donated to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief!
