In September, 2005, Team Kids organized and hosted the city wide LemonAid Project to raise money for the youngest victims of Hurricane Katrina. All students in the Irvine Unified School District were invited to participate, and in a single weekend, more than 1,000 children hosted 200 LemonAid stands and raised $10,554. All proceeds from the project were donated to the Charity Hospital and Boys and Girls Club of New Orleans.
