Team Kids at Peace Jam
PeaceJam is a curriculum and conference created by 12 Nobel Peace Prize winners, including the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, President Oscar Arias, and others. They created 10 Global Calls to Action for youth around the world to take action on. Our Team Kids Youth Council, Team Kids Staff, along with 3 chaperones, went to PeaceJam to present their two Global Calls to Action, the Mexico City Project and the Pacific Plastic Dump to Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Both projects were chosen by PeaceJam as Model Global Call to Action Projects, and the TKYC members worked with Digital Arts Media Alliance to create their own PSA's.
