Team Kids Stipend Coach
The Team Kids Coach is responsible for all logistics and onsite implementation of *3-5 month-long Team Kids Challenge Programs. S/he serves as the direct link from Team Kids to respective schools and must possess an enthusiasm for empowering our next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. The Team Kids Challenge is the flagship, award-winning elementary school service program, which is delivered inside elementary schools, alongside police and firefighters, to empower our children to change the world. *Number of schools assigned is determined by geographic location of programs, or pilots in new communities.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation of all aspects of Team Kids Challenge delivery, including running Kick-Off Assembly, weekly Leadership Team Meetings, and Carnival at respective schools
- Communicates regularly with Team Kids Head Coach, Program Coordinator, and Volunteers associated with each Team Kids Program
- Confirms Public Safety coordination (police and fire) involvement with Team Kids Head Coach/Program Coordinator
- Supplies and/or facilitates smooth functioning of audio visual equipment at schools
- Ensures the creation of final slideshow for wrap-up and celebration of service by the school’s Team Kids Leadership Team
- Handles money during and after Team Kids carnival, within company procedures
- Coordinates with Program Coordinator regarding internal check request paperwork and procedures
- Develops communication and promotional items to support the program in school as requested (i.e. information draft for school newsletters, flyers, etc.)
- Evaluates program implementation quality and effectiveness at end of program
- Ensures that summary outcome and participation information are collected and communicated to Team Kids management
- Sends thank you letters and emails to school staffs, volunteers and community partners that have participated
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree, or some college coursework completed with 2 years minimum of Leadership Responsibilities or Community Service
- Enthusiastic commitment to serve as role model and coach to elementary school children
- Proficient in MS Office Professional Software applications
- Proficient in photo slideshow presentation technology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent public speaking ability to deliver assemblies in front of students
- Ability to work independently and within a team, often of diverse groups of people
- Professionalism, resourcefulness and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting and screening
Hours: Approx. 10 hours per week
Location: Team Kids Headquarters in Irvine, programs run throughout LA and Orange County
Compensation & Benefits:
- Phase 1: $250 – 3 hour training and observing one 5-week program
- Phase 2: $500 – Co-leading one 5-week program
- Phase 3: $1,000 – Independently leading a 5-week program
- Mileage reimbursement
